The Trobairitz Project brings vibrancy to public spaces and events by bringing collaborative street performance into the area. The project brings colour and movement to the streets by combining music and circus arts, to create unique and engaging roving or street performances.
The Project sees a collaboration between musicians and circus artists, creating several small acts performed to live music that can be performed in any given space, large or intimate. The performance is structured as a parade, invoking images of a travelling gypsy carnival, moving from one location to the next, and stopping periodically at appropriate locations so that circus acts can occur in a static area, giving passers by an opportunity to stop and spontaneously become an audience.
